After their face-off in 2017’s Fate Of The Furious, Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson are joining forces in the Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs And Shaw, going toe-to-toe with Idris Elba aka ‘The Black Superman’ (he’s playing a genetically enhanced baddie).

With the previous trailers focusing on the main plot and relationship of the reluctant heroes, this final trailer has clearly been free to focus more on the vehicular mayhem and gravity-defying stunts that the F&F franchise has become famous for. (Does Idris’ bike have superpowers as well? Let’s hope so.)

In amongst all that though are some other welcome peeks at the family-centric themes that have also helped establish F&F as an audience favourite. This focus on the importance of family (either by blood or through friendship) is what often sets the franchise apart from other movies in the genre, and gives the action-packed mayhem movies a great sense of heart.

After a rough couple of months with a few not particularly great releases (MIB: International, X-Men: Dark Phoenix…) let’s hope Hobbs And Shaw will be a welcome shot in the arm. Let’s be honest, OF COURSE IT WILL.
